At some point I do intend to return and possibly partially redo both this and the first Serious Statistics. The reason is because there is now support for DirectX 12, relevant to the first article, and now the Adrenalin drivers from AMD mean there is Chill support in the game, and FRTC support for Vulkan, both of which are relevant for this newer article. Have some other things to do first though, so it might be a while, but I do want to return in the future.

Here's one more thing I'm burning to know:


How does Windows 10 Fall Creators' Update new fullscreen mode compare to these results?


The new FS mode allows overlays to be drawn on-screen without messing with the rendering pipeline and is supposed to combine the benefits of true fullscreen mode with borderless windowed mode.


So the test case here would be: Enable game bar, enable game mode for the game in question via game bar, select fullscreen mode and check if the new FS mode is actually working by having an overlay displayed while the game is running.
