GuestJim Taking Part in Extra Life Charity Stream November 4

I have mentioned I would be doing this in a couple places, but it seemed appropriate to make a thread for it. Saturday (November 4) is the date of this year's Extra Life charity game stream event, and I've decided to take part in it. The funds raised through Extra Life go to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, and any donations made on my page for it specifically benefit Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Cleveland.

Though I could do the stream at any time, I will try to mirror the times of the main Extra Life stream, which is from 10 AM (EST) on November 4 to 10 AM November 5. Hopefully I will be able to stay awake for the entire period.

Now, if you have seen my Body on Games side project you might be able to guess that, as it says on my Extra Life page, there will be a real-time heart rate graph and a gaze tracker overlay on the stream as well, so there will be a bit more than my playing games and trying to think of things to talk about.

What games will I be playing? Here is the list I currently have, but I can probably add more to it:

• Killing Floor 2
• Dead Space (will be a New Game+ playthrough)
• Left 4 Dead 2
• Super Meat Boy
• Dead by Daylight
• Dead Rising 2

Super Meat Boy might seem the odd-one-out, but after I used to for my first gaze tracking recording set, I have kind of wished I also had heart rate data to capture my frustration. Seems as good a time as any to return. Actually Dead by Daylight and Dead Rising 2 are the two odd ones as I have yet to play either. I'll try to get some time into Dead by Daylight by Saturday, but Dead Rising 2 will wait for then.

I do not know when I will play any of these games on the day, or if I will play them all, but currently those of the games I will draw from.

It is less than 24 hours before the fun starts! Added Dead Space 2 to the games I have ready to stream, just to make sure I will have plenty to cover the length of the stream.

Stopped at about 7 hours since no one ever tuned in, my leg with the oximeter on it was getting sore from not moving, and the oximeter started flaking out too (it doesn't seem to like being on for long periods like this). I'll see about continuing the stream another time, at least to finish off the Dead Space playthrough.
