Keeping mouse active on a second display when a benchmark is running on the other

How do I enable an active mouse on my second display while a benchmark such as Valley is running on the other. I would like to be able o adjust settings in Wattman or Afterburner during the benchmark to see the impact. Each time I try this my mouse disappears.

You could try running your benchmark in windowed mode.

yep most of the time when not in windowed mode the mouse gets locked to that screen but trying to adjust the settings on the fly may crash the benchmark too.
