Billwaa Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Hey, this is my first time building a computer, got my parts today, and notice a problem when I am installing the PSU. It seems like the PSU has 8 pin, and my board only has 4 pin for the CPU. So will something like this work? I really don't feel like mailing the psu back to newegg and get a new one. http://www.amazon.com/EPS-8-Pin-Power-4-Pin-Cable/dp/B002BFNZAO/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1297714132&sr=1-

The_Slayer Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 That adapter wouldnt work anyway, looking at the pictures its actually a 4 pin to 8 pin adapter, not 8 pin to 4 pin.
