Two New Cases from CRYORIG Shown at Computex

Recommended Posts

CRYORIG has revealed two cases, its first entries in the PC case market, with two uncommon designs. The OLA is inspired by the Mac Pro with a cylindrical design, designed with a focus on performance and cooling, and the TAKU is also a monitor stand that slides open to allow easy access to the hardware inside. Both support mini ITX motherboards.

With its cylindrical design, the OLA has zero airflow dead space to keep all of the components cool. The CPU, GPU, and PSU also have their own compartments, to keep heat from overflowing. The GPU compartment is large enough to hold a full-length GPU, and it supports a 100 W TDP Core i7 CPU, so you can have the power you need for VR. The case has a release target of Q2 2017, as it is still a work in progress.

The TAKU is another ITX case, but with a more traditional rectangular design. It is made from 3 mm thick aluminum so it can be lightweight but still strong enough to support the weight of a monitor sitting on top of it, and has four wood legs at its base. The system tray is designed like a sliding drawer, so the user can easily pull it out to access the mainboard, GPU, and HDD compartments. It also has ducts on both sides for USB cables. It has room enough for a 250 mm long GPU and a 3.5 in and 2.5 in device, or two 2.5 in devices. Like it OLA, the TAKU is a work in progress as well, but it has a targeted release date of either late 2016 or Q1 2017.

CRYORIG will be holding an "Ask Anything" live stream during Computex on June 1, at 9:15 AM (GMT+8). It will be aired on CRYORIG's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/CRYORIG/live.
