Odd boot issue

So all of my drives are well and healthy but I just threw in a old 2tb drive next to a 500gb drive now I'm getting a bootmgr is missing error.

Here's how I have my boot order

250GB Samsung Evo SSD (Running 8.1)

500GB WD Caviar blue (Win7 installed)

2TB forgot the model (Backed up media)

So my main boot drive is the SSD of course, but whenever I let it load it says bootmgr is missing.

If I go into bios and select the 500GB drive to boot it boots and give me the option to select from windows 8.1 and 7.

But if I leave it alone and let it boot on its own it says bootmgr is missing.

Anyone know why these drives are acting up like this? has to do with the 2tb drive because thats the most recent drive I put in.

Had this happen on every SSD upgrade I have ever done. Make sure you have the SSD in SATA slot 1 on the mobo, that is normally the issue. Then (this is probably your problem) disable the HDD that doesn't have an OS from the boot order. One or both of these steps has worked for me.

I did have one more thing, that did help and that was setting the HDD to boot first, but in my windows 7 settings on my SSD set the boot order to itself first.
