  1. Hey all, Not sure if can find an answer for this since the Xigmatek Thor's Hammer isnt for sale yet.. (as far as I know) Im tossing up between these different type of 120mm fans, in a push/pull style. Noctua NF-P12 1300rpm Scythe Ultra Kaze 2000rpm Scythe SlipStream 1900rpm Scythe claims to have massive air flow but have read that it is actually lower then they say. I have heard only good things from the NF-P12 Noise isnt a big deal (3000rpm scythe might be too noisy..) I have also read that there is something to do with the fins of how far apart they are depends on what fan to use?
  2. The Zalman fan wont have any troubles fitting into that case. I myself have a zalman heatsink almost identical to that and a mid-tower; it fits fine in it even with a side fan. Not too sure about the Coolermaster one though, it is a little bigger then the zalman (3cm if I read it properly..) so you -may- run into some trouble.. Probably need a comment or look at some reviews for the Coolermaster one >.>
  3. Indeed. It seems at the moment they only come with crossfire. Im hoping that mobo companies release a SLI version around the same time the X4 955 comes out
  4. Budget isnt really a big deal (as long as the board doesnt cost 1k+ ) CF 2way is the way to go I think. I have a 260 GTX so Ill only be using one of the PCI-e slots, unless there is a AM3 board with only 1 PCI-e slot
  5. Hey all, I am looking to get an AM3 Phenom II X4 955 when it is released, and I am looking for a motherboard and thought I could use your input I want a mobo that is AM3, DDR3, SLI (not Tri) or x1 PCI-e slot, no on-board VGA, at least 4 sata ports and the 24-pin power connection not in a crappy spot (saw it on some boards near the I/O shield) Will be using for gaming and overclocking. Any advice would help
  6. I have a 260 GTX Black edition, which is really all I need, I just like having the option of SLI.. I am yet to find a AM2+ board with only 1 slot PCI-e that I like..
  7. Seriously looking at... AMD Phenom II 940 Quad Core 3.0ghz DDR2 4GB 1066mhz ASUS M3N-HT-DELUXE-MP (http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=2097&l1=3&l2=149&l3=646&l4=0) *Keeping same video card Or if anyone knows of a SLI board (not Tri-SLI) please link..
  8. That is a CrossFire motherboard AFAIK. I need a SLI or x1 PCI-E board
  9. Hey all, My current systems specs are: AM2 Dual Core 6000+ DDR2 2GB 800mhz MSI K9N SLI Platinum nVidia 260 GTX Black Edition I am looking to upgrade to: Intel 775 Quad Core Q9550 2.8ghz DDR3 4GB 1333mhz Gigabyte GA-EP45T-UD3R *Keeping same video card I was also looking at an AM3 DDR3 upgrade, but there is no current motherboards that have a single PCI-e socket or SLI, only CrossFire. EDIT: Was looking at this upgrade as well: AMD Phenom II 940 Quad Core 3.0ghz DDR2 4GB 1066mhz *Motherboard compatible with AM2+ and AM3, SLI (cant think of mobo model ATM) *Keeping same video card I am wondering if this will be a good upgrade or should I stick it out with my system for a while? Will I see a difference in performance if I do upgrade? I use my computer for gaming mostly, and I love running everything on full using 1680x1050. Eye candy FTW. Im getting a feeling that it isnt the best time to upgrade. AM3 seems like a good option to me, but there isnt any SLI boards. Intel 775 has been around for ages and Im thinking that it wont be for much longer since i7 is out and i5 (think) or whatever is coming out soon. If I didnt explain myself properly let me know and Ill try and word it better... Any advice will be appropriated, I am stuck!
