i thought it was the other way around, ports 5-8 using the 3114 are supposed to be slower with alot lower burst rate? oh btw i believe there is no way to use four discs to get one drive with the 3112 (ports 1-4) as they are actually 2 seperate 3112, where as the 3114 is both combined or something like that, u will notice in the bios with the SB raid controller u can select 1and2, 3and4 or both! so no, there is no way to use four discs as one drive with the 3112!

EUGH thats, fixed it, i cant believe i didnt think of that! i swear i had tryed to press del when it started up, guess not!

howdy guys, I have a nice new setup, which i have been hampered with a few raid problems and windows install problems, but im slowly getting around them! But one thing that i cannot seem to work out (yes im probably noob and havent read something right) is that i do not get a memory check screen and thus cannot access the BIOS, UNLESS i jump the CMOS, and only the because there has been a checksum error i believe! Is there any info i have missed out on that could be useful to solving this problem? Cheers, Luke
