sooo..... It all started when i went to my computer suppliers house to get an FDD (mine broke) i gave him an old monitor and asked him a few amd processor questions. I told him i wanted the amd FX So he told me how he enrolled in the engineer program where he gets 5 different chips with 5 different mobos two of the chips happen to be the FX chips... he has these two different options AMD athlon 64 FX 2.4 Ghz with an MSI board AMD athlon 64 FX 2.4 ghz with an Asus main board im not sure which one i should take.... oh and if you want to know the price..... how about $300 dollars each??? yeah im totally gonna get one of those....i just need suggestions on the main board

im having trouble staying stable at higher OCs 2.6 etc which is understandable due to my memory trouble what is the highest voltage i can push my barton 3000 to without it being a danger?

I have legacy dual channel 512x2 pc3200 mem CAS is 3 I want to go lower.....but everytime i go below stock on any settings my comp wont boot it turns on but doesnt do anything do i need to up the voltage to the dimm?

how do i unlock it?

I can change the multi in my bios...but it doesnt actually change it abit nf7-s v2 bios 24 should i flash?

would an amd barton 3000+ at 2.16 ghz stock and a say 2700 barton at 2.16 oced operate the same?

well i figured it was because i ran prime95 F@h and 3dmark 03 all at once it was a pretty good test... ill try prime 95 tonight when i leave

Ok im oc to 2.48 ghz 190x13 load temp is 41 I just got done runnning prime 95 and FAH 5.02 for an hour....and finished it off with a full 3dmark03 benchmark no problems whatsoever....well except for it being slow but that is understandable am i stable?

Im just wondering how you stabilize your oc? do you up th vcore? or do you mes around with other settings... i want to get the maximum oc on my machine

ok what should i set my FSB dram ratio setting to? its currently on auto with my abit nf7s v2 barton 3000 at 2.44ghz 187x13 vCore 1.725 legacy pc3200 dual channel 512x2 what should i set it too?

how do you guys test for instability? i just set my new OC and then run 3dmark03....it usually shuts off if it is unstable
