  1. I've been slowely overclocking my rig. I was at 9x230 100% stable. Decided to try 233 and memtest86+ 1.51 gave me tons of errors. So I first tried to up the volts from 2.9 to 3.0, still errors. I then tried to loosen the timings. Errors still. So I backed it down to 230 and I get errors. I backed it down even further, all the way down to 200. Still getting errors. Now everything is back to stock settings (9x200) and Memtest86+ is giving me tons of errors. I shut the computer down, pulled power cord and motherboard battery, cleared the CMOS for 5 minutes. Got her up and running again and still getting memory errors at stock speed. WTF? Think it's about time to RMA this MB. Using all newest drivers and 310 BIOS. Everything was rock stable at 230FSB.
  2. I went into Power Schemes and have monitor turn off in ten minutes. The monitor goes into standby and moving mouse will power it back up. That's better than before, but still want to know why I lose signal after monitor is turned off manually.
  3. Does it matter which PCI-E slot you use with Ultra-D? I have a strange problem with my monitor losing diplay after monitor is powered off and then turned back on while leaving computer running. Was thinking of trying the other PCI-E slot.
  4. It's not the monitor (20" LCD, DELL 2001FP). I tried a 19" Sony Trinitron CRT and it does the same thing. I also tried my other 2001FP and same thing. You can't leave your monitor on all the time. I never turn my computer off and hate using Windows' power save modes. I used to have my monitor go to suspend in the middle of a game. I'll give it try and see if hibernate works.
  5. Sorry about the SIG. Haven't gotten around to it yet. I have tried just about everything. I do not have suspend or sleep mode on. ALL power save modes are off. All I do is power the monitor off and leave the computer running. When I turn the monitor back on (after a period of time), I get no display. The power LED goes from green to amber. Edit: I have now discovered if I unplug the monitor from the video card (DVI 1) and plug it into (DVI 2) I still get no display, but when I plug it back into (DVI 1) my display is back. WTF?
  6. I'm having trouble with (2)512MB Ballistix PC3200. I've been able to get stable at 220FSB at 2.5-2-2-6 at 2.9v. Using 310 BIOS with Ultra-D. Hate to buy different RAM, but maybe Samsung TCCD would be better. Would be cheaper to buy another motherboard. Might try MSI K8N NEO4 Platinum.
  7. Nothing is overclocked. A 20" LCD monitor is at 1600x1200 at 60Hz. That is recommended and only choice for refresh rate. Computer passes all stability tests. All power save modes in Windows are off. No screen saver. I have tried another monitor and get the same thing.
  8. Man, nobody has any ideas? I really don't want to RMA the board and have the same problem with a new board. The computer runs fine, but I can't leave the monitor on all the time. Shutting down Windows all the time is not an option.
  9. My computer will be running and I will do various things (browse Internet, games, burn CDs/DVDs) with no problems. Before I go to bed I will turn off the monitor, but leave the computer running. The next day when I turn the monitor on, I get no display. The monitor's power light goes from green to orange. When I press one of the monitor's buttons, it says the monitor is in power save mode and to move the mouse or press a key. Neither of them work. I have all power save modes turned off in Windows. I have to power down the computer and sometimes clear the CMOS to get the display back. What's going on? Have tried another monitor and monitor cable. Video card worked fine in another computer.
