  1. Errrrr.... nevermind fixed my problem was quite simple. wouldnt mind a link for some new drivers tho
  2. Oddly enough i need to install windows xp again, but when i goto load the silicon image sata driver it errors.... so i need to kno were to get a new driver for it. thanks
  3. Well, i want to just keep the sound card and deal with no onboard. But my parents think i should rma it. i dont wanna rma it.....
  4. Oh the sound with the sound card works, i just forgot to disable the onboard in the bios.
  5. do you think a reformat and reinstall would work, cause i dont have a system restore point, i will just have to backup everything i want to keep on cdr's. i dont have much else to do.
  6. system restore, but would i have had to make a restore point? and do the jumpers have to be in when i am using a sound card?
  7. lets see i even ran to walmart to get a sound card to use for a day, and guess what its still dont work? what can i do, would a reformat and reinstall do anything?
  8. Agh!! I found some jumpers off an odd mobo, AT style, but i put them on. AND the result is ........ IT dont work. Could they be too old. i still need to call a friend or 2 to see if they have any. If i dont get any jumpers to work time for an rma.

Thanks, i am gonna try some of my friends and see if they have any. and i may run up to walmart and grab a temperary sound card if its still not workin, i dont wanna rma it waste like 2 or more weeks just to get it back and BAM school is here. Anyways thanks alot, and i will let you kno if the jumpers work, if not i should rma it right, i have only had it for a week or 2.
  10. i wasnt gonna solder it just use some wire, sorry i meant safety wire, i dont kno what i was thinking. well does it matter what kind of jumpers or can i use anyone that fits?
  11. so i just get a paper clip and tie them up or solder wire or something? thanks again
  12. you mean those little plastic things that cover the pins, i dont recall having any on them when i installed it in the case.... is there something i can use as a quick replacement?
