Oh dont get so worked up. I was just pointing out a logical inconsistency. Please dont compare your water temps to what people see on stock air.

Its funny how if any little thing is up with their boards or CPUs people will call the heck out of technical support and RMA parts. But let the mobo report idle temps below the ambient temperatures in the room and everyone is just like "hey I got a cool running CPU!" I guess AMD shipped your CPU with the magic heatsink with refrigerant inside of it.

Most people idle at 35 to 45ish C on air (95F). Saying that 22C (~70C) on good air cooling is acheivable creates unreasonable expectations for people. I doubt anyone can report anywhere close to 22C on air that isnt running their system in a garage while its snowing outisde.

Noone else finds anything weird about 22C Idle and 31C load for a CPU on AIR?? Maybe on watercooling but not air

My gut reaction looking at those temps would be that something is wrong. I would flash BIOS and reinstall chipset drivers, then reinstall whatever utility youre using to monitor the temps. Coincedentally what are you using to monitor the temps? I dont think DFI has anything that monitors them from Windows. Have you ever gone into the BIOS to check the CPU temp there and see if its close?

Sorry about being a little obtuse, I do technical support for Monarch Computer Systems, and I was at work so I didnt want any managers or anything misinterpreting what I was saying. Anyways, I figured if there were any deals coming down the pipe that I was aware of I could let you guys know first. And yes hardnrq Im desperately trying to find a CABNE as we speak - 38 new cpus comin in Monday and Tuesday and I get first dibs muahaha
