  1. The bios is the newest revision, came that way out of the box. rev1012 for the a7n8x-e. As for the vid car, got the problem fixed, I installed the newest chipset drivers from www.nvidia.com
  2. I've got a 400W psu, so I'm just not real sure what the problem might be
  3. yes, I apologize, I did post this in 2 seperate forums, I just wasn't sure which one really applied since there are 2 dif problems listed in the post
  4. I'm putting a computer together, brand new setup. one of the problems I am having is getting the memory to boot at the specified speed. The memory I have is Manufacturer: pqi Speed: DDR400(PC3200) Type: 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Error Checking: Non-ECC Registered/Unbuffered: Unbuffered Cas Latency: 2.5-3-3-7 Support Voltage: 2.6V Bandwidth: 3.2GB/s Organization: two 32M x 64-Bit Warranty: Lifetime It's on an Asus A7n8x-deluxe with an amd 2500+ mobile clocked to 2ghz for now until I get the rest running ok. Now if I set the mem settings to "By SPD" it auto sets the mem to 200mhz, but sets to cas to 3-3-3-9. It will get to the loading windows & just reboot, in a loop. If I set it to auto sense the mem, it will boot with the specified cas latency, but when it boots up, it says memory running in dual channel 166mhz. It's drivin me crazy. I have not tried upping the voltage to the memory as it is currently set at 2.6 which is the specified default. The other problem I am having is my at radeon 9600pro will not run at 8x AGP. It is enabled in the bios, but when Iget to windows & run the utility, it says it is in 4x with fast write disabled. If I change it to 8x and save settings, when I reboot it is set back to 4x....any thoughts on either of these? Thanks in advance.
