  1. I was lucky enough to get my hands on 2 old dell inspiron 3000's out of a pile of free computer stuff. Both had some issues, but I took the good parts from each and got one solid working laptop. that leaves me with a bunch of trash parts and one extra 13.3" lcd display. My question is, has anyone had any experence in using a Laptop LCD for a desktop? or even better yet, a projector.
  2. I'm a Gamer, so I'm required to use windows to play all the games I want to play. But I love Linux and the entire Open source model, and all of the cool toys that *nix OS's get. My faviorite is Gkrellm, but I have yet to find a similar app for windows. Every one that I have found is bulky, ugly, and generaly not worth the ram and cycles it takes. So my question is, are there any clean system monitering utilitys for Win32 that are nearly as flexible as GKrellm?
  3. I tryed the scraping off with a knife and sanding bit, but it's very hard to get the heatsink to be total flat. That creates 2 issues, one is that if the heat sink isn't total flat it is less able to transfer heat away from your proc. Second is the risk of small nicks in the sink scratching your proc, especialy on AMD chips, as the core is exposed to the world. What I use to remove any goo or wax is acetone. It takes EVERYTHING off the heatsink but the the heatsink itself. Oil from your hands, dead skin tha falls off your hands will seriously cutdown on how well your sink will pull heat off a proc. If your overclocking thats not good. BTW it will also strip that nasty "Microsoft" logo off of your mouse/joystick
  4. Need to know I could use 2 cellys one 400mhz stock and one 433mhz stock and overclock them both to 450mhz to do SMP. and how would I go about doing it? Can you change the stock multiplier on cellys like you can with Athlon/Durons?
