BowtieNinja Posted April 17, 2002 Posted April 17, 2002 I've been planning on getting an MSI K7T266 Pro2-RU (with onboard RAID and sound [onboard sound is a temporary measure, I assure you]) Here's what I've got planned. Athlon XP 1700+ Antec 1080b Plus with 430w PSU, and 5 80mm case fans (3 of which will be transparent 256 DDR (or 512 DDR, not sure yet) 20 gig Seagate HD 12 gig IBM HD Question is, what's the best motherboard for stability/overclocking functions, and has similar features, that's in my price range. I'm gonna have about $500 for the motherboard, CPU, case, ram, and fans. I'm also curious about what CPU fan I should get. Volcano 7 looks good, but bad for overclocking, so any sugestions in the $20-30 price range, and doesn't sound like a dying rat on a megaphone, would be greatly apreciated.
