CheeseMan42 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Twitter is considering creating a premium version of its social networking service "aimed at professionals" that would expand its revenue streams and offer additional features. Twitter has been free for its 11 year history, but a subscription model would allow it to finally monetize some of its 319 million users. Twitter spokeswoman Brielle Villablanca described the possibility stating, "We regularly conduct user research to gather feedback about people's Twitter experience and to better inform our product investment decisions, and we're exploring several ways to make Tweetdeck even more valuable for professionals." HarryTaco Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 They are already talking about too little, too late, on this subject. It took them 11 years to get to this. IMO, the free service is what helped build them and the user base. Paying to play for some seems a reach.
