CheeseMan42 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 GIGABYTE has added to the X99 Champion Series, featuring four motherboards including the previously discussed X99 Gaming 5P. Joining the Gaming 5P are the X99-UD4P, X99-UD3P, "and the already famous X99-SOC Champion." VP of the GIGABYTE Motherboard Business Unit Henry Kao described the Champion stating, "Since its launch in January, the GIGABYTE X99-SOC Champion motherboard has become the undisputed performance leader for X99 motherboards with over 30 top overclocking scores under its belt including 10 World Records." Users can install DIMM modules up to 3200MHz or RDIMM modules that provide greater memory density with support for up to 16GB per stick. Reliability was addressed by using an all digital power design featuring IR Digital PWN and IR PowIRstage ICs, Long Lifespan Durable Black Solid Caps, and 6x Gold Plating.
