Angry Eeyore Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Hi all, first post and hopefully not something you have all had to answer 100 times over and over. I have had a gaming PC for almost a year now and never OC'd my CPU at all and I think it is high time I try it out. I am hoping I can just use someone's settings that has an identical set up as me so I can just run through the bios and set it up without testing it a ton of times. Anyway, I suppose I should list some specs and if I am missing anything you guys may need to better assist me, just let me know! PremiumAcc Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 (edited) There isn't one applicable setting that can be applied across the board, as different samples of CPUs will have different OC potential. Basically, you have to play around with the fsb and multipliers in the BIOS until you become unstable. If you need a guide on how to OC you could refer to OCC OC Guide. Edit: During the OC process please refer and compare to the below: 4.0-4.3GHz 1.300v-1.325v 4.3-4.5GHz 1.325v-1.375v 4.5-4.8GHz 1.375v-1.450v Edited January 13, 2012 by PremiumAcc

Hrm, I would have zero idea what I am doing if I tried this on my own. I have been going through some of the different posts and it is all pretty much Greek to me.
