biolco Posted September 24, 2011 Posted September 24, 2011 Hi guys, I've recently installed a new heatsink on my Intel Core i7 2600k for overclocking purposes. After reading many reviews, I chose the noctua U12P SE2. After installing it, I ran a few tests, and these are the results: Temperature of the room: about 22° C Temperature of the cores measured with aida64 + core temp. Stress test performed by aida64. System on a table (out of the case). Cores stay between 27 and 32 °C while idling @ 0.996V Vcore (energy saving features enabled, cpu running @ 1.5 GHz). 100% Load Temps Test stock speed turbo mode (3.5 GHz): 48-54 °C @ 1.224V Vcore Test 4.0 GHz: 54-61 °C @ 1.296V Vcore Test 4.4 GHz: 57-65 °C @ 1.296V Vcore What do you think about these temps? Do they seem a bit too high for my chip? Is the cooler working properly? (I re-seated it more times, but the results are the same) I've measured the temp of the base of the heatsink and it stays at 27°C while idling. It raises up at 31°C when cpu is 100% loaded. Thanks in advance for any opinion/suggestion. Regards
