Help with Lanparty jr p45 + core 2 duo e8500

Hi guys im new to this board so 1st time posting here

 

I recently started to OC my onld PC but have been having problems with it while running games

 

the PC is:

lanparty jr p45

intel core 2 duo 8500

4gb ram (not sure on spec)

crossfire 4850's

 

i have 4 case fans + water cooling for the CPU, load temp of cpu is never above 38 degree C

 

unfortunaly the bios for the lanparty is diff to what im used to, so far ive gone from

 

9.5x 333 (3.16) to 9.5x 400 (3.8)

 

and it boots fine, and i can brouse etc to my hearts content.. however the sec i boot up a game (at 3.8) 10+min @3.6 it jsut crashes the pc, or if in steam the game will stop responding requiring ctrl-alt-del etc

 

temps are never a problem from following real temp logs

 

i presume it could be to do with some voltage settings

CPU vid special add - +200.0mV

DRam voltage - 2.194v

SB core cpu voltage - 1.55v

NB core voltage - 1.1825V

CPU VTT voltage - 1.30V

 

But being a novice OCer i have no idea, i just switch between the preconfigured cmos setups

I have been googling like mad, but alas its not an exact science

 

any help to point me in the right direction would be welcome
