brkkab321 Posted August 29, 2010 Posted August 29, 2010 I just built my first computer. I need some help overclocking it now. I'd raher do it through the bios as my ECS A790GXM-A V1.0 mobo doesn't have a program that automatically overclocks in Windows like Asus, MSI or Gigabyte does. I'm looking for any help from anyone who has overclocked a AMD Phen 2 965 Black Edition 125W TDP cpu. My computer components are: NZXT Tempest EVO Case Zalman CNPS 9900ALED heatsink 8 gbs. Crucial Ballistix PC6400 DDR2 ram Western Digital Caviar Black 1 tb. hard drive XFX Radeon HD5770 1 gb. video card Hauppage WinTV HVR-1850 tv tuner 2 Samsung SH-S223C DVD-RW's ECS A790GXM-A V1.0 AMD2+ motherboard AMD Phenom 2 965 Black Edition 125W TDP cpu Bios is American Megatrends 080015 07/14/2009 I'd rather overclock through the bios rather than using AMD Overdrive, so as soon as I press the power button my rig is running overclocked instead of waiting for Windows 7 Professional x64 and Overdrive to load first.
