pci e frequency wont change in bios, cant oc anything

Recommended Posts

a hint , the graphics card doesn't run the driver , hence its not the one to blame .

how long do you run Prime95 for after you OC your CPU?

I run for about an hour, when i set on a specific overclock that i will stick with, i set it for 4 hours on prime95.

Anyways I am getting rid of this system, a guy wants it for 1,000

so im upgrading to:

CPU: Intel i7 920 2.66 GHz

Motherboard: Gigabyte EX58-UD4P

RAM: G-skill F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD Trident PC3-16000 6 GB 3x2GB DDR3-2000 CL9-9-9-24 Core i7 Memory kit

Video card: Cant decide what to get, not planning on crossfire or sli for now SUGGESTIONS???

Power Supply: Coolermaster Extreme Power 600W ATX 12V V2.01 Silent Power Supply 20/24PIN 120MM Fan

Hard Drive: WD Velociraptor 300 GB GLFS ( I have 2 of these already, deciding if I should raid 0 them, or just use 1 and sell the other one?

DVD drive: 22x LG dual layer burner

CASE: Using my old case for the new computer, its a LEXA BLACKLINE NZXT

Heatsink/FAN: Noctua NH-U12P with extra FAN, to create suck in blow out feature

Would this system kick butt and overclock good? Let me know a good video card to get, not too expensive, something less than 250 Canadian dollars.
