Having fun with my 720 BE

Well, I wanted to get back into benching, and even though I won't break any records with it, I do want to stretch its legs and get my Intel buddies get riled up. Is it worth it to pick it to pick up 2GB of some DDR3-1600 or higher if it'd work, since my mobo is AM3, reinstall XP, and overclock it like that? Alot of CPU-Z validations and such show 2GB. I'd mainly do 3dmark05 and 06 and compare it to my old E8400 scores. Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks.
