firefoxx04 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 coretemp is reading 40C ave idle on my CPUs cores when i run orthos the cores get up to 68C and then i stop the test. so, i want to make sure im getting the right readings. in core temp settings i changed the CPU temp offset to 20. so i go from 20C idle to 40C idle. the run orthos and i get an ave. 25C increase. the CPU is running at 3ghz becasue i have the CPU frequency at 230 and the multiplier is locker at 13x. then i have my voltage at 1.325V (CPU) and i also put my HT frequency (hyper transport) to 800mhz but can go to 1000mhz. im under stock cooling i do understand there is a problem with the athlon 5000 temp reading thing in the CPU but what should core temps ofset be at or does it matter for each indevidual cpu. thanks my mobo is a ECS GF8200A with the first bios update they offer
