Rilen Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 Hi all, Well I'm going to try and keep this short. I got a new sys with these specs. CPU: Q9950 E0 @ 2,8 Ghz with Blue Orb II cooler MOBO: MSI P45 Platinum DRAM: 2x2gb 800 Mhz GPU: HD4870x2 Now I've read that this CPU can do quite some nice speeds and I wanne try some OCing myself. Read loads of guides but still can't figure it out that well. Especially with the DRAM stuff. Lets say I would like do put my CPU @ 3,0 Ghz, then I think I have to lower my DRAM speed to get a ratio for it? This kinda confuses me, and besides I'm not that good in BIOS. Can I do stuff with leaving Vcore etc on auto and just up the FSB Frequency and lower my DRAM speed?? And how to adjust fan speeds if it gets to hot (Is a Blue Orb II capable of cooling sufficient?) I hope somebody can push me in right direction or tell me what I'm totally getting wrong. This is how my bios looks atm (I looked around a bit). With a LOT of AUTO options.
