DoucheOS Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 I'm having a bit more of a fiddle with my overclock at the moment as the temperature during the day is much better than it has been recently. When im trying to get a stable state with the e8600 i am noticing that core0 is always the one that fails on small fft testing. I may be running a little lean on the voltage at 1.35v @ 4.25GHZ but is there a particular reason that core0 fails and core 1 will continue on its merry way? Cheers. Waco Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 One core is weaker, it happens. Core 3 on my quad is the only one that fails at 3.8 GHz and both it and core 2 fail at 4.0 GHz while the first two cores run happily along for hours. I have it running stable now with 1.367v @ 4.25 GHz i just thought it was unusual for only one core to fail. Thanks for the info.
