johnyeah Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 I own an ECS P35T-A board and I know when I bought it that it's not a good overclocker (it was dirt cheap when I got it). The specifics of the system is as follows. Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 @ 2.33ghz w/ Cooler Master Hyper TX2 ECS P35T-A Intel P35 ATX EVGA Geforce 8800GT 512mb @ 650 mhz core and 1900 mhz memory* Seagate 7200.11 500GB 32MB Cache A-data Extreme Edition DDR2 800 RAM (4 * 1GB) clocked 4-4-4-11 Asus 18x DVD Burner SATA OCZ StealthXstream 600W Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 4 Raidmax Smilodon ATX Mid Tower Here are my questions: 1. I read here on OCC's review that the reviewer was able to push the FSB of the board on a 6750 to 397.7 mhz. however, for me, even the slightest increase in FSB would result in the board not posting (I have to manually reset the CMOS jumper everytime). Is there something I'm missing? Do I need to update the BIOS (would that even help with this)? Do I need to change the CPU voltage first? I know computers fairly well, since I've been doing quite a bit of DIY myself over the years. 2. The computer works perfectly fine at the moment, I'm just curious to see if I can get more juice out of this machine. The system temperature at stock is relatively low in the 30's range. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
