Can't Install Audio Drivers

Uninstall the sound drivers and restart.

When it gets into windows cancel the setup.

Then in the device manager it should have a yellow exclamation mark.

 

Install the latest intel chipset drivers.

restart.

 

Then install these sound drivers

Restart after.

 

And Hopefully it will work.

Sharp, I finally said to heck with it and reinstalled Windows. I installed the chipset drivers and the audio drivers and the sound works now. What a pain in the rear!!! Thanks for your help

It was a brand new install with an actual Win XP Pro cd. I used a standard format, not a quick format.

You were talking about the current install on it?

 

Never mind at least it is working now.
