Hi,

I am running Ubuntu 7.04 beta on my laptop. I upgraded from Edgy Eft and my sources.list seems to have a duplicated entry:

I40MA.jpg

What entry should I comment with # to get rid off the error message?

Thanks for help!

Anybody?

Gipse

This applies to Ubuntu 7.04 only, 5 May 07.

Combine the two feisty-security items into one line. Meaning, comment out one line and add those items to the other security line:

deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-security main restricted universe multiverse

deb-src http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-security main restricted universe multiverse

That's all you need concerning security updates. Then reload the repo's (refresh) and you should be OK.

Here's my total /etc/apt/sources.list file:

deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty main restricted universe multiverse

deb-src http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty restricted main multiverse universe #Added by software-properties

deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-updates main restricted universe multiverse

deb-src http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-updates restricted main multiverse universe #Added by software-properties

# deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-proposed main restricted universe multiverse

## Uncomment the following two lines to add software from the 'universe'

## repository.

## N.B. software from this repository is ENTIRELY UNSUPPORTED by the Ubuntu

## team, and may not be under a free licence. Please satisfy yourself as to

## your rights to use the software. Also, please note that software in

## universe WILL NOT receive any review or updates from the Ubuntu security

## team.

deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-security main restricted universe multiverse

deb-src http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-security main restricted universe multiverse

## Uncomment the following two lines to add software from the 'backports'

## repository.

## N.B. software from this repository may not have been tested as

## extensively as that contained in the main release, although it includes

## newer versions of some applications which may provide useful features.

## Also, please note that software in backports WILL NOT receive any review

## or updates from the Ubuntu security team.

deb http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-backports main restricted universe multiverse

deb-src http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-backports main restricted universe multiverse

## UBUNTU SECURITY UPDATES

deb http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu feisty-security main restricted universe multiverse

deb-src http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu feisty-security main restricted universe multiverse

## PLF REPOSITORY (Unsupported. Use at own risk.)

# CANONICAL COMMERCIAL REPOSITORY (Hosted on Canonical servers, not Ubuntu

## servers. )

deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu feisty-commercial main

deb http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/ feisty free non-free

#deb-src http://medibuntu.sos-sts.com/repo/ feisty free non-free

###The above pretty much gets me anything I need. The sos-sts server is not always 'working'.

For future ref's, you can 'paste' that text into the post here, so you don't have to upload an image file.

Hope this helps, Dylan

I took some time out of my day to post a reply, how did it go, are you fixed?

Yes. I just deleted the double entry in the list (like you mentioned it) and no problems anymore. Thanks for your help!

Maybe I will try the new 7.10 version soon.
