GarethK Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 Hi everyone I wonder if anyone can suggest something for my problem... A fortnight ago I applied the (2006/04/06) BIOS to my Ultra-D in anticipation for the arrival of a new FX-60, and it has worked fine with my 3500+ since. However, when I tried installing the FX-60 today the motherboard won't proceed past the 3 LEDS (CPU detection?) phase on start up. Here is a list of the things I have already tried... 1. Prior to install reset all timings and vCore etc back to auto. 2. Tried resetting CMOS and safe boot jumpers in various combinations. 3. Tried 4 different DIMMS, or none at all, in all slots in various combinations. 4. Removed all hardware (HD's, GFX, SFX etc etc). 5. Tried with no CPU - 4 LEDs remain lit. More concerning is that my Venice no longer works, with the same 3 LEDs remaining lit at start up. The BIOS flashed ok as I've been using it no problem for 2 weeks and I've seen other people using Ultra-D, Hiper, FX-60 and Ballistix with no problems... Any suggestions?? Thanks very much in advance!! Gareth EDIT : I know the 3 LED's means the RAM isn't being detected but why suddenly stop working after installing the FX-60? I will try a long CMOS clear overnight and see what happens.
