Opteron 165 weird temp readings in everest

Hi all i have an opteron 165 ccbbe 610dpmw and have it @ 2.7 ghz @ 1.33vcore, and i was using the bios and everest ultimate v3.00 to monitor temps, and i got idle/27*, load/36*. Primed it 12 hours straight fpu stress, 8 hours blend, and memtested. I then updated my everest to v3.50, and with the new core 1, core 2 temp readings available for dual core, it comes up with the same CPU-27* idle, but it comes up with CORE 1-40*, and CORE 2-40* (avg- sometimes up to 48!!). This is really weird and i cannot figure it out. Bios reads 28* CPU, and im running stock volts. I have no idea where everest is pulling this crap, but i dont want my cpu running at 40* idle on STOCK volts! It just doesnt seem right. Please help any wayy possible.
