prosser13 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 What would you guys advise the max 24/7 voltage for a Venice 3000+ be? The case is cooled by 3 fans - a 120mm at the front (intake), a 120mm at the back (exhaust) and a 80mm on the side panel (intake). The CPU is cooled by an Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 and AS5 Thanks! Sydney Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Dont really matter with that setup, because much over 1.5v and its gonna get too hot. I ran my winny at 1.525 pretty much 24/7 for a couple of years no problem.
red930 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Depends on how much volts a 100 MHz is worth to you. Dont really matter with that setup, because much over 1.5v and its gonna get too hot. Maybe on your rig
prosser13 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Cheers for the quick replies Wil - quite a lot I've been priming for 2 hours - which is the most I normally use my system for - and the temp has stayed steady at 34C for the CPU. prosser13 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 That was with 1.45*102.% at 2434mhz (271mhz FSB x 9) I've bumped the voltage up to 1.525 which is read as 1.52V by SmartGuardian and am priming at 275mhz FSB * 9 = 2475mhz. Temps after 5 minutes are 35C, I'll let you know how it goes
prosser13 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Btw, looks like it peaked at 36C with 1.45*102.% at 2434mhz (271mhz FSB x 9)
prosser13 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 1 hour prime stable ^^ incorrect May still be
prosser13 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 F@H was running in the background, so my hour prime stable means nothing - it failed 3 minutes after being reset. I'm now priming at 1.5V x 104.8% for 275mhz FSB, IIRC
red930 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 might be alot faster if you run the test for the OCDB or OccT before you spend hours and hours running prime Myself I start with S&M and test full load memory test if passes I do the full load memory and CPU test if passes I run OccT then 3Dmark tests then prime (And Then ) I tare it all down and start over ( AND THEN )
prosser13 Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 Memory is fine - its running slower than it was yesterday (its on a divider) to rule it out the equation and is at default settings I'm just going to download OccT
red930 Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 and what tests have you done to state your memorys fine ?
