hawkus Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I'm looking at buying a scythe infinity to go on my NF3 Ultra-D but aren't sure if it will fit or not. The case I have is an Antec 180b and I have an AMD 3700+ @ 2.77ghz and it gets too hot with the current setup, i'm tipping the scythe infinity is prob the perfect setup for that case. But yeh if any one can tell me if it will fit that would be good.
hawkus Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Well I ended up opting for a Thermalright Ultra-120 with a Scythe SY1225SL12VBL 120mm variable speed fan. It fits but just, had to remove the brace plate from the back of my graphics card as I had an aftermarket zalman on it, but it doesn't change anything. And to any of those people getting the Ultra-120 for a DFI board you will most likely need the K8 backplate for the motherboard as the screws on the DFI backplate sit so low you can't get the Ultra-120 on it.
