NEOAethyr Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 The enterprise ver's of norten, actually called symantec av are that way too. The liceance lasts forever Ig uess, free updates for life, still they come out with new ver's every year though so that's all wierd... Anyways I was slightly wrong about f-prot. It does install one thing it seems that runs int he background when you tell it not to do that. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesF-Prot Antivirus Update Monitor I'm not sure of the effects of removing this but I allready did so. I'll try the update function and scanner later on to see if they still work and report back. I'm just to tired and lazy to doit right now ^^. I still don't know if f-prot is a good one or not though. It's not free either, but it is trial based for 30 days if you're all for that. If it's any good I would probably register it and all.
