  1. Which way should I have the radiator installed? Hoses sticking out from the top? or the bottom?
  2. Once again, I would like to thank you guys for all your responses and help on getting me to achieve a stable 4.2ghz!! My case is this Cooler Master Storm Scout . I will mess around with the fans. Maybe i'll order better ones. I don't care about the noise.
  3. I have 1 fan that came with the H50 behind the radiator pushing air in from the back into the case. Then I have 4 other case fans. 2 on the window side pushing air inside, 1 in the front pushing air inside, and the last one on top pulling all that air out of the case. so basically I have 4 fans pushing air inside. The back, the side and front, and 1 fan ontop pulling air out.
  4. Ok guys. So as you know I applied the mx-4 thermal paste, now I put everything back to stock and updated my Bios to the latest firmware. Here are my Temps running prime95. Isn't this too high with the H50?
  5. So i just applied the mx-4 and there's very minimal difference, about 1*C lower... What is TIM? and how i know its defective? and btw guys, thanks for all your responses and help!
  6. Yes I have HT enabled I think. Should I disable? I'm going to adjust my H50 also with new thermal paste, hopefully that will drop temps.
  7. Ok guys so I'm running stable at 4ghz with these voltages (Temps Low 80's under heavy load). I can def hit 4.2ghz with a higher cpu voltage, but the temps get a little to high. Low 90's under heavy load. I ordered Arctic mx-4 and I'm going to re seal the H50. Hopefully temps will be lower. Cpu Voltage - 1.28 Cpu PLL Voltage - 1.85 QPI/DRAM Core voltage - 1.28 DRAM Bus voltage - 1.60
  8. I will try to work it up by trial and error. I may re-seal the H50. What's the best thermal paste out there?
  9. Ok so with stock settings, Prime95 for an hour = 68*C high and its 40*C low. Is this normal for the h50? Maybe the thermal paste got messed up?
  10. Ok guys with these current settings, I was able to run prime95 for about 45mins without any of the tests failing, but I stopped it because under the heavy load temps were in the 90s and the highest reaching 97*C. With the system being idle its 48*C. Also I forgot to mention, I have a total of 24gbs of ram.
  11. With these settings, running prime95 temps hit 80, after about 6 minutes the tests or workers start failing.
  12. I was getting like around 83*C. But prime95 fails, or it blue screens. I tried just 4.ghz with lower voltages, and the temps are just or below 70*c, But prime95 fails... I can't get the settings right... Anyone have the same motherboard? And thank you!
  13. Hey guys I just got a corsair water cooler, and I've been having trouble getting the right settings to push my i7 950 to 4.2ghz. I've either gotten blue screens, or the temperatures would be too high. I'm sure I'm not imputing the right settings in my motherboard. Please help. Current setup is this. Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz ASUS Rampage III Formula LGA G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) CORSAIR CWCH50-1 water cooler for CPU (38*C stock temp) idle CORSAIR 750W power supply
