  1. They had some decent reviews and they are CHEAP. If they will do what I'm needing for not too much money I'm down.
  2. Black Ice rads are 40 for the 140mm and 60 for the 360mm. I'll go with something else though if I'm not getting rid of the wind tunnel in here. Thermochill stuff is at least twice as expensive as those were. I'm shopping around for something else now. Does Thermochill even make a 140.1mm?
  3. Clocked and loaded.

  4. What would be better rads? I want quiet, and I want cold. I hate noise, and most often I game in an environment with low speaker volume. The hum in here is absurd.
  5. But leaks? Are they going to have leaks? If not then there is what I'm doing since they are cheaper anyways. Will I nee some right angle adapters?
  6. Sounds good guys. What fittings and whatnot do you recommend? I'd like no drip and I'm assuming I'll use plumber's tape. I'm going to go with 3 EK acetyl blocks with EKFC links in 3 way parallel, an EK acetyl CPU block, a black ice 360mm rad and either a 140mm black ice or a 240mm black ice slim rad. Then yate loon fans push pull on the 360 and if I go with the 140mm I'll go push pull too the 240mm won't have room for push pull. I'm looking at commercial tubing of 1/2-3/4 from a friend of mine's shop and then I'm going to go with the XSPC dual bay pump/res combo with a Liang D5 in it, and two bottles of primochill ice since this is my first build and I don't like the idea of leaks killing parts. Fittings? What should I get? I'd like compression for safety's sake what are decent and not to obscene? I'd also like to know about mounting kits. Do I just use the same screws I mount my fans with now? since I'm going to the exact same holes? I can do all this for what right now looks like $720-$760 shipped. Is that a good deal?
  7. The main rad is going to definitely be an 120.3mm rad with push pull mounted in the top of the case. Can I put the top back on or do I have to leave it off? It would cover about 1 inch of the 320mm rad. The 140.1mm rad would be mounted on the exterior of the case and be push pull. The 120.2(240mm) rad would me mounted internally on mounting holes by the HDD rack and would be blowing across my 3 drives 2 in icy dock before exhausting out the the front of the case. Like shown in the attached pic. There can be only one set of fans on this rad. Would it be better in that situation to go with the 140.1mm or the 120.2mm I'm leaning to the 140.1mm to avoid having all that hot air blowing over 400 bucks in hard drives (which will be like 600-700 when the SATA 6GB/s sandforce drives come out.) And yes I realize this is a crazy first build to watercool, and if there was a decent quiet aftermarket cooling solution to 6970s that only took up one slot (all the ones I've seen make a card stick into the 3rd slot or even a 4th.) But you can't hear this wind tunnel in here and it's disorienting check out this review and you will see Look at the vid with 3 cards Thanks again guys you all have given me a lot of help! What are decent no drip fittings and couplers I should look for?
  8. Would I be okay with a 140mm and a 360mm? Or should I opt for a 360mm and a 240mm on the side of HDD rack?
  9. I just measured at the wall and my whole rig eyefinity router speakers headset glowy keyboards gamepads and all peaks at under 700w with both prime 95 and heaven running for an hour. Nothing else even comes close to the 686w peak I pulled so I feel pretty solid I can do this with one PSU. I'm thinking 360mm in the top and 140mm on the back. I could put a 240mm beside the hard drive bays and stand it on it's side and put a low profile fan on it that really is necessary. Some people have said I would need the equivalent of 2 360mm rads for this rig, but I just don't think that is right. 360mm+140mm should get these temps down AND give me more headroom right?
  10. 3 6970s (flashed 6950s) pull enough power with this setup to overload my PSU with a 125w CPU and all this cooling 4 ram dimms 3HDDs and all this cooling? If so then for dumb old neighborhood wiring reasons and to avoid spending more than a grand on a UPS rated beyond 850w I may not be able to mount a 120.3 on the top and I'd put a 2nd PSU in. Could I use that monster side fan for a really huge rad or 2 smaller ones? I know this has already been answered but I can't find a really good answer as to what the max usage is in game with flashed 6950's. *Fingers crossed on not needing a 2nd PSU that would really suck*
  11. So if I were to run it with pump >GPU >GPU >GPU> >140mmRad >CPU >360mmRad >Res >240mmRad would that work? I've found a kit coolermaster makes to mount a 3rd 240mm Rad to the side of my HDD bay. This setup would set me back around $800US is that way obscene? I don't want to needlessly spend money, but I want to push this stuff hard. I'm looking for OCs higher than I have now, and I just can't stand the noise in here right now..........
  12. Does anyone have any advice on lop order? Like CPU then rad then GPU then rad etc. etc. Thanks for all the great information!
  13. It says in small print right above that that it fits reference PCBs too. Can you mix blocks from one company and everything else from another?
  14. http://www.dangerden.com/store/product.php?productid=519 What about this kit? And these blocks? http://www.dangerden.com/store/dd-6970-6950-water-block-v1.html And this for a second radiator? http://www.dangerden.com/store/black-ice-gtx140-xtreme.html And then some more tubing like this? (more of what the kit comes with) http://www.dangerden.com/store/clearflex-60-tubing.html And this coolant? (more of what the kit comes with) http://www.dangerden.com/store/feser-one-uv-clear-illusion-f1-coolant.html I know most of you are saying to just use water, but leaks mean death with water............ :'( That's more than what I spent on my cards, but why else do I work? LOL.
