Thanks for the reply! So I was thinking of eventually upgrading the CPU down the road once the gen 2's starts to come out. I was hoping to kinda future proof for the next 5 years. hence why I was thinking of going for the X299 chipset. Also since the market went to crap with GPU, what would you suggest instead of a 1080 Ti. Since this was also a workstation for video editing, I was thinking either a 1080ti or some sort of SLI would be good.

Hello everyone! I am currently looking into updating my current computer which has components that are probably 10 years old now. I will be using this computer as a workstation and gaming rig. I will be doing some Video editing in Adobe Premiere, coloring in DaVinci, and some photo editing in Lightroom/photoshop. For games, I play alot of FPS such as Destiny 2, Overwatch, Battlefield, Fornite. I also play some MMORPGS. Monitors that I use are a 4k Dell for photo/video editing, I call this my workstation monitor. And for gaming I use a ASUS 144Hz. any help is much appreciated in making this new rig epic!
