CheeseMan42 Posted May 18, 2017 Posted May 18, 2017 Noctua has announced the addition of fans with sizes of 200mm, 120mm, and 40mm to its A-series, with "signature features such as Flow Acceleration Channels and AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frames." The new model numbers of the fans are NF-A20, NF-A12x15, and NF-A4x20, respectively. The 200mm model represents the largest fan Noctua has made, with the large size presenting a new array of design challenges. The reduced thickness of the new 120mm fan presented its own set of challenges, which Noctua was also able to solve with a bit of engineering. The new 40mm fan doubles the thickness of the current offering, making it a good choice for systems that require higher air pressure. The NF-A20 and NF-A12x15 will be available with PWM or FLX with Low-Noise and Ultra-Low-Noise options, providing users with a balance between cooling and acoustic performance. The NF-A4x20 will also have PWM and FLX configurations, but also adds a 5V connector for use in switches, routers, DVRs, and other devices.
