Good idea. Ok, I found out the Matrix RAID supports either RAID 0 or 1, not 0+1, so I can set-up a 0 for 2 Raptors and a 1 for the big Maxtors. Maybe I'll get an external 300gig Maxtor for backing up the Raptors on a weekly basis. I think I can only set-up 2 RAID arrays total. Maybe someone knows how I can use all 6 HDD's!! Any suggestions are welcome.

Does anyone know how many Matrix RAID arrays can be setup on the new 925XE chipset? I have the Asus P5AD2E Premium mobo. I may need to setup 3 Matrix RAIDs-anyone know if that is possible? I can't find out through Intel or Asus sites. Anyone familiar with Matrix Raid?

I am setting up my new computer-Asus P5AD2E mobo, 3.46EE, nvidia FX 3400 graphics, Silverstone Nimiz case, Antec TP 550 PS, 2 gigs Corsair DDR@ 667 memory, and have 4 74 gig Raptors and 2 Maxtor 300 gig(16mb cache) Hard drives. I'm setting this up for Pinnacle 6 Pro real time non linear video editing. I'm trying to figure out the best config for the Hard Drives. I can set up a Matrix RAID 0 or 0+1 for only 2 Raptors, for the OS and Pinnacle software, and set up another RAID for the Maxtors for storage and video capture. Or I could setup a Dynamic disc volume with the 4 Raptors at a nearly 300mbps but I have nothing if a HD fails. Does anyone have an idea to help me?
