Depreciated Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 So do you think it's appropriate enough if I get a branded 600W than the 700W?

Depreciated Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 I do not plan on overclocking it since it seems to be powerful enough to play Assasin's Creed III. Yeah, I'm doing this for a game :| . But I am aware of other softwares that are consuming like that Studio Max for 3d. I only have a fan that works on the Sempron processor. The other is of course from the video card. I have a fan that is attached on the lid but I have no idea how to attach the power supply to it. I cannot see another cable for attachment. I would recommend one of these PSU's over a 700w unit for that setup, even if you do upgrade to a better GFX card in the near future: http://pcx.com.ph/components/power-supplies/fsp-hexa-he500-eff-80-500w.html http://pcx.com.ph/components/power-supplies/antec-neo-eco-520w.html ( spend the extra money and get this one though ) I guess I'll be going for the Antec Neo then. But the FSP Hexa is still a good deal, right?

Depreciated Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 I forgot to ask about the Maximum Power. The TDP of Phenom II x4 is 125Whttp://techreport.com/review/16796/amd-phenom-ii-x4-955-processorAnd the Radeon 6750 HD has 450W power requirement, I believe.http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/amd-radeon-hd-6000/hd-6750/pages/amd-radeon-hd-6750-overview.aspx#3Summing them all is 575W. And the motherboard, the memory sticks, HDD, optical drive, and yeah the fans are not yet included. Is a branded 500W viable for this build? Thanks to your replies especially to wardozerx. VaporX Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 (edited) .... TDP is not about max power but rather thermals. Your system would only need at max power around 300 watts so the 500 should be fine. Edited December 26, 2012 by ComputerEd

Depreciated Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Ok I see. .... TDP is not about max power but rather thermals. Your system would only need at max power around 300 watts so the 500 should be fine. Looks like I lacked research about TDP. I thought it's like the required power.I googled about the max board power(and even used Bing). I found out that even the 6850 has a max board power of 127W.The Bing didn't have a correction feature when I mispelled on the search box. And it suggests less compared to google.
