  1. I think i'll have to buy that Enermax 600w psu.. I don't have a c/card and don't want 1 either so i'll grab it retail for 185$ AUS which isn't to bad really.. Considering I paid 180$ for my 480w TT..
  2. Nope i'm afraid not.. And dang that was a fast reply..
  3. That's the wierd thing Nerm I can't run games for more than a few minutes but I can run P95 and Super Pi for hours at first I thought I had my grfx card cranked up to high so I dropped it back to stock and ran Mark '05 on it for 45mins straight and nothing not a glitch so with overclock (on cpu but not grfx card) I proceeded to try again same prob.. It's really giving me the s***s as I can't play games on it with it clocked up but I can burn dvd's, surf, play and encode mp4's and I can even edit 400mb wav files in adobe 1.5???????????????????????????????????? Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllp.. Feeling really dumb also after the DMM thingy as I just call it a multimeter and have no actual training in electronics i'm just self taught.. So thanx for being kind to the dope.. I still have a 1.4Ghz P4 with an MSI mainboard and 2x128 of Samsung RamBus..
  4. Well the volts do move around a little but nothing major.. From Nerm: That is highly likely to be from the PSU not being able to hold stable. Check it with a DMM under load. Does DMM refer to a memory module?? As in running prime for a day or so or a loop of Mark '05??? As to the bsod's they haven't been the same 1 all the time on occasion it is "irq not equal or less than" whuch if I remember rightly is a memory error.. I just thought that a beefy psu may allay most of my woes.. To this end could everyone please field their own oppinions of the Enermax 600w SLi psu please??? Thanx again and thanx for the speedy replies from all ..
  5. G'day all Just wondering and thought i'd ask if my psu could be the 1 thing holding me back in my efforts to OC my rig further?? I have been thinking about replacing the 480TT with an Enermax 600.. I seem to be able to get upto 215fsb but after a while I get a bsod and that's it clock her back and she runs great tried uping the volts incremently without success.. Played with ram timings and all sorts of things but to no avail, if any1 has any ideas please share .. Thanx in advance..
  6. Well I have to say i'm not thrilled with thier new cases.. I have as my sig says a Damier 5000+ that i've had to mod seeing as they stuffed the design ((of the ripoff)).. If I buy another case it's going to be another Li-an Li case..
  7. I've got a TT 480w psu with a Leadtek A6600GT and it does really well even overclocked .. Have to say that for the price they are very good (Just under 100$ AUS)... Must say tho that if you have the money you should grab the X800XT over the 6600GT as the prices are dropping way down lately..
  8. Sorry cactusgal.. If my eyes had been open and lookin' at your tag I would have worked it out but then i'm dense.. lol And yes psu's have been known to cause probs with systems like the 1's you have but I have to agree with the other posts here that you have a bad mobo..
  9. Just a thought m8 but could it not be you power supply?? If it trips out due to being right on the edge of what it can do maybe it screws up the card till you power it down and restart??
  10. How about: Fx-57 Abit NF4 Sli mainboard 2x7800GTX Audigy 4 with Creative S750's 2gb GEil Dual Channel kit 2 or more 300gb Cheetah 10K's with card A pair of WD 2500KS hdd's for backup Lian Li PC-V1000 TT SPP 560w psu 2x4ms 19inch lcd
  11. Just out of curiosity has any1 noted that he owns a Gigabyte board?? Feel free to correct me here but don't they need you to hold the Control key and press F1 to access the advanced features like ram timings and such?? Has he tried this??
  12. I have to say that I would go for the Fx-57 and a nf4 sli board with a pair of WD 2500KS SataII drives that's half a terrabyte for ya beast, The Raptors on the other hand will leave you stuck with 2x74gb hdd's so on the grand scheme not a whole lot of space (albeit d&mn quick but then so is SataII)..
  13. Well it looks like i've hit the wall with my current hardware unless I can find how to tweak it even more.. 8399 Any1 got any suggestions??? Cheers in advance..
  14. 3642 It's not much but it'll have to do till I can get my A64 939 board and chip.. Well either that or I get a mobile chip and have a play till I can afford the 939 package..
  15. Well after many months in limbo I am finaly able to get back into folding for my old team .. I'm really glad to be back folding..
