i am really starting to hate this board. i have windows2000 pro. every time i install windows, then install the via drivers i restart it and it says there is a corrupt install. this really sucks.. done it bout 6 times. and messes up each time. i tried not to install the driver per one persons suggestion but it kept locking up when surfing. but never once corrupted. so i downloaded the newest driver. installed it and boom... corrupt install. anyone else have this problem

it is the arctic silver 2. when i first applied it i went crzy and i coudlntr get my heatsink on and it smugged all over it. so i tried to clean it up as good as i could with some alcohol and i also tried it again when i had problems. so what was a good suggestion, maybe i will try and clean it again. as for the core i did see a lil edge like it was a lil rough. like it had been kinda scratched or something. hrmm kinda stuck where to start, hate to start throwing money i dont have for parts not needed...but i havent faced something i couldnt conquer yet

well i am using arctic silver thermal compound. my power of my cooler is on the motherboard, but the problem didnt occur after i put on the cooler, it had been running for a while with the new cooler. it is a thermalright sk6 with 60mm fan. power supply is plenty. i am thinking 350 or 400 i forget. none of my friends are computer geeks so i got no one to switch with. basically it just got really unstable for about a week. and kept kicking out. and it started doing it quicker and quicker. like 5 minutes and bomb it would shut off. i am thinking i might buy a cheap duron and test it. i have an asus a7a .. anyone know what or if any of the xp athlons this motherboard supports

Well, i am new to the overclocking world. But thought i would give it a try. I have an asus a7a mb and an athlon 1.2. I have had it running for over a month. When i first started i could easily set it up to 1400 no problems. Although the temp got hot and i tried to wait off a lil bit till i had better cooling. Well i got me a better heatsink and delta fan and i was in better shape. Well the last week or so i couldnt even keep it stable at 1200 with no adjustments to FBS or cpu. My memory didnt want to overclock the greatest ever. Well now it wont boot at all. I can get it to stay up for maybe 5 minutes and it goes down. Then i could wait alil come back and it would work for a lil bit longer. Most 30 minutes. NOw i have nothing. If i mess with the dip switches, take out the battery,, pull out the memory or something once and i while i get it to boot up for a few.. but now.. nothing as i said now any guesses on what i could of fried cpu memory motherboard guess i was gonna replace one, and was gonna start at the cpu, i gave it the most wear and tear at first, it was staying around 51 temp at the end... but once a while would spike really quickly for a breif second. any suggestions
