  1. Ok thanks guys, i was just wondering why the adpters that came with my card only has 5 metal parts in the 6pin head.
  2. So the 5 versus 6 metal parts on my adapters does not affect the voltage and stuff?
  3. Hello, i am new to this forum =D I recently put a PC together myself, it was my very first self constructed PC. I never had any experince putting a PC together before, and now all those cables/adapters are giving me such a hard time. My PSU is: hec XP1080 800W Continuous @ 40°C ATX12V / EPS12V CrossFire & SLI NVIDIA HYBRID-SLI Certified Modular Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply (sorry for posting the whole thing..but i dont really know what its called), my video card is GTX 560ti. This PSU came with a bunch of cables that can be removed, and just plug in which ever that is needed. This video card requires two 6pin PCI experss auxiliary power connectors for its power. On my Psu, there are 2 cables that is attached to the power supply, and it has 6 pins on it, the video card has two 6 pin PCI adpters, that each extends into 2 more cables, it has white ends like the fans has. So i was wondering if i could skip the adapters the video card gave me, and connect my cideo card directly to the PSU? The adapters my video card gave me is a little bit different than the 6 pin PCI my PSU has, the 6 pin on my PSU has 6 metal parts, and the adpters came with my video card only has 5 metal parts within the pin(its missing one in the middle role). So this has been bugging me, can i plug my video card into the PSU directly? Even with the adapter difference? Thanks for the help!!
