Hey I'm an overclocking noob haha...but this is whut I wanna do
I'm gonna get a P4 2.8C Ghz computer...
da reason why I got that instead of the 3.0C because I wanna overclock it...to get it to 3ghz, if possible 3.2 will be even better!!
What do I do?
This is the specs
P4 2.8C
Antac Sonata Case 380W
Ram - 1GB (dunnno da brand) PC3200
Motherboard - Asus P4P800 (non-deluxe version)
I just know that to increase the speed...u gotta overclock the FSB...
da starting point is usually 200 right?
to overclock to 3ghz, I have to increase it to 250 (since every 1mhz increase, the FSB increase 4mhz)...lock the 33.33/66.66 thingy...and possibly change the ram ratio (I'm not sure how the ram ratio thingy work) - what ratio to use? all I'm hearing is 1:1, 3:2, 5:4
to overclock to 3.2ghz, it would be da samething...but to move it to 300FSB instead...
am I right on this? I need a little bit on the ram ration thingy thanks!
