well i just messed aorund with the jumpers... its all working... woo hoo... only thing now i dont understand is the whole reaosn of doing this... my dad said he needed the data recovered because it crashed... yet i cna acess everything just fine

no jumpers on the laptop hdd there are 4 empty pins.. i have some jumpers lying around that i got with my thermaltake 11+... they fit the pins.. except the 4 pins ar ein a square and iunno which way to put em on

Ummmm.... quick question here. my dads laptop hard drive crashed and I want to set it as a slave (I have the adapter to run on IDE) to my 40gb maxtor. I know you go set it as a slave in BIOS, but that doesn't seem to work... is there any i have to do to either of the hard drives to set the laptop one as a slave? any help appreciated thanks

doubts on that.... 1.8's cant be that powerful unless they've been bored out to at least 2.0L hence now 1.8 anymore 647whp is able too.... but i seriously doubt it... and i doubt if its all street legal post your mods maybe.... and about the cpu heat sensor, i just installed my valcano 11+ like 5 minutes ago so i have this pretty fresh in my head... as ayo said it goes between the cpu pins

how do you guys get all these themes to apply on your taskbar and icons and the mouse, i dont know how >.<

set your cpu and memory to optimal, output of cpu 133MHz, and same outboard freq of the memory, thats what stopped my same exact problem.

this just happened to me. from what i make out, you dont boot up and you have clear CMOS. what you do is.. turn your computer off, open it up, find the battery on the mobo, take it out, take the rubber thing off the stick beside it (lol i forget names) and put it back on, this 'resets the jumpers' and putt he battery back in, than it's allgroovy, youll be able to get into BIOS, i suggest you just run the cpu low speed just until you can get it back rolling right
