  1. hey ... can u pls lemme noe d idle temps u gettin wid ur p6t d v2 with core i7 920 at 4.0 ghz and at hw many volts .... and u happy wid d board ?? am still kinda confused between d two boards ..... msi eclipse or asus p6t d v2 ... aaarrrrggghhhh !!!
  2. now after reading some reviews again .... on overclocking .... m goin for msi eclipse sli as my first option .... basically i backed from it because while overclocking ram it lacked .. but am not gonna overclock my ram so its not an issue .. n also asus has a better name ... but seeing the performance and cooling ... eclipse is better ... lets hope its available ... ... otherwise will have to go wid d second option of asus p6t deluxe v2 and ya ... still .. any advices on the boards would be loved ... regards giggu
  3. a close friend of mine got his pc running at 4 ghz on msi eclipse wid a noctua cooler ... he used v8 earlier .. it worked fine under idle load ... but under full load it lacked way behind ... also on p6t motherboard overclockin aint simple i agree ... but overclockin to abt 3.8 ghz on p6t deluxe v2 was achieved wid less troubles ..... and ya .. i messed up wid d moderate classification ... appologies ... and d processor m tokin abt is core i7 920 ...
  4. wid a coolermaster V8 ... i doubt d stability .. cuz this cooler is not such a good performer in the case of core i7 .. u'll easily be able to overclock msi eclipse sli or asus P6t Deluxe to 4.1 ghz using TRUE 120 extreme or noctua nhu12p SE1366 or Coolermaster V10 as the coolers ... these cpu coolers are the best as of now for extreme overclocking ..... for a moderate overclock coolermaster v8 is fine ... ZALMAN 9900 wil also be able to take u to 3.8 ghz wid cpu temp at abt 69-75 C .... and evga 760 classified is an awesome board but price factors play a roll then ... i wud love to hav it ... but m sticking to a budget here ...
  5. ohk .. i'll go for asus .... i think its more reliable ... lets see .. it also depends on the availability .. will decide wen in d market itself .. thnx for help everyone ...
  6. ohk .. thnx for the help .... even i read alot of places that asus's boards are overclock friendly as compared to others ... ohk .... just help me out with one thing ... which boards cooling is better ?? cuz me being from india ... its hot here .. so even if i overclock my pc to abt 3.4 ghz ... which board would b better in cooling ?? cuz i see asus's p6t deluxe doesnt have a good southbridge cooling .. does that affect much ??
