  1. Thanks for the reply, I got the mobo today the manual says the same thing that its not recommend to run it at 1.5v+. But I noticed in the Memory QVL there is many 1.65v sticks listed so hopefully this will work. Thanks again.
  2. Im building a new rig, i have an Asus Sabertooth P67 mobo on the way. A friend has some RAM that he can give me, Corsair 6gb(3x2gb) 1600mhz Triple Channel Kit - 1.65v. After some research it seems I can only use 2 sticks, which is fine. But what about the 1.65v and the xmp profiles? In general will this RAM work? Will this RAM work with Overclocking? Any suggestions are appreciated. ty Motherboard RAM
  3. thank you very much for all the suggestions. I gotta good grasp of the whole RAM compatibiity thing now.
  4. I've decided to change a few things that have been suggested in this and other threads i made. Case: Lian Li Lancool PC-K62 $99.99 Mobo: Asus M489TD PRO/USB 3 $174.99 ***** CPU: X6 1090T BE 3.2 GHZ $199.99 Combo with Mobo total = $349.99 Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212+ $29.99 GPU: MSI Twin Frozr II OC 560Ti $249.99 PSU: Corsair HX650 (modular) $119.99 ***** RAM: Corsair XMS3 2x4gb 1333mhz $94.99 Combo with PSU total $189.98 *EDITED* Maybe the Corsair Vengence RAM above and below * HDD: WD Caviar Black 1tb 6.0gb/s $89.99 and a Samsung cd/dvd burner $19.99 GRAND TOTAL: $1029.91 I did find this combo after I was reviewing my Cart, tyvm though. Just when i thought i had everything figured out. I really like the look of that RAM! Thank you very much to everyone for the comments. Keep them coming. Im still stuck in a hotel, waiting for a rental house so I havent ordered anything yet.
  5. thank you for the response. Does anyone know if the G.Skill Flare series works with the ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 AM3 AMD 890FX mobo? It is not on the 6-core QVL. Is this something I should contact Asus about? Im not too worried about getting it to run at the full 1800mhz, i just want to be able to OC the 1090T to a max of 4ghz, without messing up the RAM. I did lots of googleing around and can't really find a defenitive answer, so here is what im looking for now ANYONE who the same MOBO and an AMD 6-core processor to post what RAM you use. Thank you very much
  6. Im about to purchase th ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 AM3 AMD 890FX mobo with a 1090t. I see in the specs on newegg and on asus.com it lists the memory standard as DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1600/1333/1066. My problem is when viewing the 6-core CPU Memory QVL it only has 2000/1333/1066 no 1600 listings, will 1600mhz rated RAM work with the 6-core. Also how about 1800mhz which isnt listed in the mobo specs or QVL list? Id like to get 4 gb of G.Skill not sure what series yet I liked the G.SKill Flare but its only available in 1800 and 2000mhz and is not on the QVL. ANY suggestions are appreciated. thank you.
  7. O. LOL. I'm sorry I didnt see the 3.5mm on the Y cable. I understand now and TYVM. You save me a few days as now I can order the Y cable with my PC. Thank you for your time.
  8. The RCA cable is to connect both of the speakers together right? And then the 3.5mm from the PC goes into the Aux In or Headphone 3.5mm on the front of the AV-40?? And the RCA cable is a Y so I would plug the red and white into the Left AV-40 and then just the Red into the Right speaker?
  9. The green is like a regular 3.5mm jack right? My AV-40s doesnt have that on the back it has a Headphone In and Aux In on the front though, so I would plug it into 1 of those? And Thank you.
  10. I just got 2 sets of M-Audio speakers for Free. AV-40's - http://m-audio.com/products/en_us/MAudioAV40.html BX8a's - http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_u...X8aDeluxe.html I would like to hook them up to my soon to be new computer. I was not planning on getting a Sound Card but if I have to I will. I am gonna be using an ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 AM3 AMD 890FX motherboard with Realtek ALC892 Audio Chipset/8 Channels. So I'm wondering what would be the best way to hook these up to my computer? Is it even possible? Could I add a Subwoofer to either of these? Do I need to add a sub to either of these? And any other suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
  11. I will most likely upgrade to a SSD after the next paycheck. I went with that RAM because I read the G. Skill Flare was great for AMD 6-cores. And Newegg only had 2000 or 1800mhz versions so. Someone mentioned the Coolermaster Hyper+ wont be good at cooling a 125w Thuban cpu anyone have experiencee with this and of course i want to OC it. thanks for your suggestions.
  12. My house recently burnt down, so Im unexpectedly needing a new computer (any everything else). This will be only my 2nd build. I got around $1000 to spend on the rig then around $150-250 for the monitor. I'm looking for suggestions on all the components and their compatibility with one another. Thank you. 13. Thanks you very much. I just wanted to test it before I manually did anything, so Ive done the 5,8,10% OC options, used Prime95 for bout 2hrs on each setting 0errors. Running at 10% now 2300 to 2530mhz, RAM 400 to 440mhz. Max Temp during the Prime95 test at 10% were 53 for the cpu. Still using the AI OC feature for now. Heres a pic with some Voltages & Temps... Again any suggestions will be appreciated greatly.
  14. AS the title says: I have read quite a bit about it and finally went to my BIOS to see what kinda options i have, to my suprise there was an AI OVERCLOCK option which can be set to 3%,5%,8%,10%. So i set this to 3% and ran Prime95 with no errors for more than 2hrs. My CPU temp as recorded by Everest/PC ProbeII showed max of 50degress Celcius, while the prime95 test were being run, it avg'd at 47. Now 3% is not any noticeable difference, so would it be safe to go to the 5%,8% option? Is this AI Overclocking option reliable/safe? It seems like the perfect thing for a beginner am i right?
