Well..maybe cause there build in it goes against the variable? Cause I have a case with build in fans but if the heatsink has a fan built in it I can still use the heat sink even though it has a fan in it. (bleh..hard to explain)

Same case same fans for every heatsink.

I'm doing a project for school..basically I'm going to buy 5 heatsinks then test them using speedfan - coretemp to see which heatsink design is the most effective for cooling the cpu. I will be running two tests without overclock and with overclock to 3.0. Other on stock heatsink. The motherboard Asus M2N - SLI Processor AMD 4600+ Rules ~ must be in the same price range ~ must be different designs ~I only have 200$ to work with. My question to you guys is which 4-5 heatsinks should I pick?
