I changed my BOOT.ini to show: multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /PAE /maxmem=4096 It's still only showing 2GB in XP, but 4 in Memtest, CPUz, and POST.

So does it physically use 4GB then? I have 1 X1800XT and no other PCI devices.

BIOS shows 4. CPUz shows 4096. Windows shows 2048. Im very confused. If i put the BIOS back to S/W mappnig off and memory hole off, it only shows 3, fine. but why won't wndwos show 3 when 4 is showing in BIOS, but when 3 is in BIOS, 3 shows in windows. This is annoying

OK....NOW I got XP installed, and it shows 4GB in BIOS but only 2GB in XP. Any idea?

I'll just leave it in the 2nd one, it works.

This isn't even my PC, its a customers. I have no desire for a baord this complicated, and I even OC.

OK, I fixed it. Enabled S/W Remapping and it now works.

Been there done that......... I can't find any discussion abotu THIS PARTICULAR board and 4GB. Alot about the NF4 boards, but none of this one. Iv'e enabled Memory Hole and turned off CPC.

I have the same problem with an X1800XT and a CFX3200DR. I have tried everything, and yes I had the power connected by the PCIe slot. GPU only works in 2nd PCIe slot.

First Post here.... So I have an FX57 with a CFX3200DR . I have 4 1GB sticks of RAM. It is only showing 3. In CMOS. Iv'e done everything I know in my abilities to get the memory situated and I'm still stuck. Any help would be appreciated. --r3sil3
