Ok. Im selling my pimp comp because I want ot get out of the upgrade game lol for now. And Im buying a laptop. Which one should I get? Heres what I need it for: - Pretty much zero gaming, Im a console guy. - Lots and lots of music and video converting - I like to burn things. haha - I have hundreds of movies and thousands upon thousands of songs but I guess my 500gb drive (in an external enclosure) will take care of that. - I want a nice (wide)screen with a high resolution I will get like $800 from parting my comp. I can add another $700 if I REALLY need/want to. Advice?

I see where you guys are all coming from but common.. the campaign is short and lame. Yes. It was still fun. The graphics are great actually.. Don't know where your getting that from... But the real reason I like the halo series its its replayability. The multiplayer (on live) is always fun. There is a lot less swearing than you think and with the addition of forge you can edit anything. Literally. You can change spawn points, spawn zones, weapons, vehicles, objects, anyhting... Then you can save the map and use it in custom games. I enjoy it. The multiplayer is endless fun to me. But to each their own. People still play halo 2 so how bad can it be... Just my 2 cents. Sorry lol. And I've never tried OO and to be honest, MS Office gets used very little at home and almost exclusively at school. But I imagine next year and university will be much more the opposite. I already said I'm waiting till the end of the school year but thanks, I didn't know the release date. You just don't get it. But thats ok. Very wise IMO. If only everyone saw it that way. But a laptop is the exact same but portable... I would think a desktop would be more of a distraction than the laptop because it plays computer games. And all you need is one monitor and you can dual mith your laptop (right?). Yeah, if your on the net instead of doing your work then where you are wont make a difference and you just need to buckle down and work.

They're not that much more expensive compared to their dell etc. counterparts, maybe like 100-200 bucks overpriced.. But their pretty and you get OSX AND windows so... Exactly. And if you want a pretty lappie! iWork and/or M$ Office. :edit: Sorry AG

Yeah. Even if I did decide to switch right now it would take a while so I mine as well wait one more year. Excactly what I was thinking. I'll stay in the upgrade game for one more year then go into laptop mode while I'm in university and then when I get back in the upgrade game I can start from scratch with a "quad-crossfire 16-core 64GB RAM gamer rig to play Quake19 and BF9". Ha! Thanks guys. P.S. You know that is only like 6 or so years down the road eh? You think we'll be up to "64GB RAM" by then? lol
